A warm welcome to our new Propädeutikum students!

Students from 10 different countries are starting their Propädeutikum at TU Dresden for the 2026/27 winter semester. Over the next semester, they will develop their German language skills and work towards the C1 level, preparing for their next step: enrolling in a degree programme at TU Dresden.

The course is coordinated by Dr. Monika Diecke from the TU Dresden International Office and Kirsten Reuter-Skrypnik from TUDIAS. We wish all participants a successful start and an inspiring semester!

A celebration of diversity, tolerance, and community in the heart of Dresden.

For the 10th year, a massive picnic was organized by the Cellex Foundation in the city center to showcase the welcoming spirit of Dresden. Volunteer organizations, universities, government agencies, and cultural groups offered up delicious treats and shared their values and missions with residents and tourists alike.

As a language school and studienkolleg, it is our mission to bring the world closer together. Through language learning, cultural experiences, and granting access to university studies abroad, we here at TUDIAS live this mission every day.

Studienkolleg Graduation: Summer Semester 26

We were delighted to present our students from the M, T, and W preparatory courses with their Feststellungszeugnis (university qualification certificates) last Friday, following their successful examinations, in a festive and joyful ceremony.

A total of 67 young people from 16 different countries successfully completed this important stage of their academic journey, with several achieving outstanding final grades of 1.0, 1.1, or 1.3. Many of them will continue their studies at TU Dresden, where they will begin their degree programs in October.

New: Digital Math Course to Prepare for the Studienkolleg Entrance Exam

To help you prepare for the math entrance exam for our Studienkolleg, we are now offering a free digital training course to all students who register to take our entrance exam. You’ll become familiar with all the question types on the entrance exam, solve and review sample problems, and test your knowledge in a final exam.

You will receive the link to access the course after you have sent us your conditional admission letter from a Saxon university and have paid the registration fee.

Welcome our new Managing Director

Big news at TUDIAS: Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Antonio Hurtado has been appointed our new Managing Director!

As a young man, Prof. Hurtado left Spain with his parents for a new life in Germany. A new life, and a new language. Having to overcome this hurdle himself, Prof. Hurtado knows all too well the importance of language for integration and professional success. Here at TUDIAS, we support our students every day with exactly that mission in mind, making Prof. Hurtado a natural fit.

Besides his new responsibilities at TUDIAS, Prof. Hurtado will continue serving part-time as President of DIU. While holding these two positions, Prof. Hurtado will be able to quickly identify and act on synergies that already exist under the "Bildungscampus" situated at the WTC Dresden.

Prof. Hurtado has hit the ground running at TUDIAS and brought a fresh perspective to our various projects. Please join us in congratulating Prof. Hurtado and wishing him every success in this new role.
